Study

1.Plan study

Canada invites thousands of students to study in their designated learning institutions. A great hub of higher studies, Canada becomes number one choice for higher study aspirants to choose from the designated colleges and universities to complete their tertiary education. Canadian immigration helps to support the dream of many such students to come and learn in Canadian institutions.

2. Acceptance Letter

When a foreign national applies for a Canadian study permit, or a Certificat d’acceptation du Quebec (CAQ), they must provide a valid  letter of acceptance proving that they have been accepted to enrol at a Designated Learning Institution (DLI) in Canada. Students should always have a copy of acceptance letter while applying online and a hard copy to show to the immigration officer at border securities on arrival.

3.Eligibility Requirements

You must meet these criteria in order to be eligible to apply for a study permit:

  • Acceptance Letter: You must have an acceptance letter from a Designated Learning Institution (DLI) in order to apply for a Canadian study permit.
  • Proof of Financial Support: You must provide documentation proving that you have sufficient funds to cover the cost of tuition for your first year of study as well as the cost of living (housing, food, etc.) for yourself and any accompanying family members for your first year of study. Please note that these funds can be under your name or the name of a family member or close friend.
  • Supporting Documentation: Substantial supporting documentation must be submitted with all study permit applications. This documentation varies from country-to-country.
